    • what does 10000 years mean? is it generic like 10000 reasons or literal? beautiful song but cant explain what the 10000 years is in reference to.

      • “Ten Thousand” is used 32 times in the NIV. Sometimes it is literal, and sometimes it stands in for “a large number.” But add the word “years” and there’s no reference to it in scripture. Rather, it borrows from Amazing Grace, “When we’ve been there ten thousand years, bright shining as the son…” meaning, again, a large number of years, years without number.
