Christianity 201

9For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. 10And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, 11being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully 12giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light. Col 1 9-12 NIV

Nine growth areas:

  • Grow in knowledge of God’s will
  • Grow in spiritual wisdom and understanding
  • Live a worthy life
  • Please God in every way
  • Bear fruit
  • Grow in knowledge of God
  • Be strengthened with power
  • Reflect great endurance and patience and joy
  • Be thankful

  1. Thank you so much for your encouragement and prayers, God has been testing my faith, i have quit drinking and smoking (maybe 1 or 2 cigerettes a week) I was a heavy smoker and the Lord is taking tobacco out of my life… the beer is alot easier to not endulge in. He has put my in a position to minister to a few people and I have been able to read my poetry to an audience of elderly people at lunch. They want me to come once or twice a month this is a answer to prayer because nothing is coming up with my writings, no publishers, maybe i don’t really try to publish. The Lord God Almighty has adding a painful tooth ache in my life 10 days ago then another one a loose tooth next to the one that was pulled, I got that one pulled today and I don’t have any pain right now thank God. Any way I have to read more of the e mail you send me because it is righteous stuff, God bless you in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I have started reading the Bible again from the begining and have finished Genesis and am now on chapter 16 where Moses crosses the Red Sea, the word of God is encredible and I find something new everytime I read it, of course I skep around I read paslm 45
to my elderly people two weeks ago and the Hound of Heaven by Fransis Thomson, God bless you in Christ Jesus.
